College Football Rankings, Week Nine

Teams from the Deep South had a mixed bag yesterday— a few expected results, an upset or two . . .

Alabama stayed at numero uno by absolutely crushing Arkansas. (Truthfully, I quit watching in the third quarter because I was embarrassed for the Razorbacks.)

FSU beat Clemson and pushed them down from #3 to #9. (Hey, if you got to get beat by somebody— at least it wasn’t like Stanford getting beat by Utah!)

Missouri beat Florida and now the Gators out of the top 25 . . .

Most importantly, Auburn catapulted from #24 to #11 by beating Manziel & Co. in College Station!

LSU is perched at #13, but they got beat by Ole Miss. (Talk about how tough the SEC is: LSU beat Auburn, Auburn beat Ole Miss, and now Ole Miss beat LSU.)

South Carolina dropped to #20. (I saw the highlights and thought, They got beat by Tennessee, are you serious?)

Like the Gators, Georgia also dropped out of the top 25 . . . but that’ll happen when Vanderbilt beats you.
