The release of “Closed Ranks”

Pre-publication work has begun on my forthcoming book, Closed Ranks, which tells a latter-day story about the Whitehurst Case, a police-shooting controversy in Montgomery, Alabama that spanned the years 1975, 1976, and 1977. I began the research for Closed Ranks in the summer of 2013 and completed the more than 80,000-word manuscript last fall. The book will be published by NewSouth Books in the fall of 2018.
