I have this tree in my side yard, and I have no idea what it is. Around my neighborhood, I see that other people have them too but theirs are usually pruned into shrubs or hedgerows. Mine was already a tree when we bought out house. It’s an evergreen and has dark waxy leaves, similar to a magnolia but not exactly. Some of the leaves turn red and then fall off.

Anybody know what this is?
