With twenty-five years of professional experience in writing and editing, Foster Dickson is open to freelance and contract writing assignments for newspapers, magazines, websites, academic databases, and encyclopedias, as well as commissioned book projects. Editorial

Foster accepts longer (book-length) editing projects from businesses, non-profits, publishers, and individuals. Foster’s base rate is $35 per hour, yet that rate could vary depending on the scope of the project, the nature of the work, and the expected turnaround time. Presenter

Foster is also open to giving a presentation at an organization’s meeting or conference, speaking to a high school or college class, or leading a professional development session for a school or school system. Foster’s standard speaking/presenting rate is: $75/hour of presentation time (based on two hours of prep time per hour of presentation) plus 100% reimbursement for travel and materials costs.
