I have been a long-time Auburn fan, and it feels good to be able to say, “War Eagle!” to everybody passing by in their bright orange Auburn Tigers shirts, and have them smile and say it back, knowing that we all are proud of what our team has accomplished. I went for two degrees at Auburn University at Montgomery, and my wife got her undergrad degree from Auburn main campus. It feels good to have our team be the National Champions!

Yes, this topic is not related at all to my usual topics like education, poetry, and social justice. But it is related to life in Alabama. We watched from the sidelines as the Crimson Tide won it last year in their undefeated season, and this year was our turn!
