When I saw this Village Voice cover from January 1996 – over twenty years ago! – I thought of our current travails with Chief Justice Roy Moore. I used to the subscribe to the Voice when I was in college in the mid-1990s, at a time in my life when Greenwich Village, NYC and Auburn University at Montgomery seemed a million miles apart. I found this cover in a box of magazines and articles that I had saved.
