On Saturday, September 16, my creative writing students and students from the photography magnet at Booker T. Washington Magnet High School will host an event in the Gathering Year program. We are partnering with the City of Montgomery, the Montgomery County Archives, public historians at Auburn University, and others to collect what we can from an important area of Montgomery: Centennial Hill.
