#throwbackthursday: “I Just Make People Up”

It was ten years ago this week, that NewSouth Books released I Just Make People Up: Ramblings with Clark Walker, my second full-length book, which is an as-told-to biography and full-color art retrospective of the Montgomery artist. Clark’s art career began in the late 1950s, when he was still in school, and continued for nearly seven decades into the 2010s. The book was written at a time when Clark’s studio was across the street from my house, and it is based on a series of interviews that I did with him and with people who have known him. Copies of I Just Make People Up are available for $45, and there is also a $75 limited edition that has both Clark’s and my autographs in it.
